Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began to train in the combat sports. She began training in kickboxing boxing wrestling, and BJJ. She made her amateur debut at age 18 at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Aspen was then in a fight with Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at the catchweight (138.1lb), as Ladd had missed weight. However, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. She won by KO in the 2nd round. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion by unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg.
